President James Kiko called the meeting to order at 7:00PM at the township hall with Trustees Timothy Blocher & Michael Stewart present.
Approval of Minutes
Mr. Kiko moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the last meeting & approve as submitted. Seconded by Mr. Stewart. Approved. Financial reports approved as printed.
Road Superintendent Todd Kirkpatrick reported purchasing culverts from Marlboro Supply. There were two funerals and one more this Friday. Cemetery rules will be reviewed for the April 15, 2019 meeting. The recycling area is expanded. The drive at the Scenic View dry hydrant is upgraded. Patching and ditching continues. Freed St. needs a new culvert.
Mr. Stewart reported that he attended the Stark County Council of Governments meeting. He also met with Stephen Babik concerning the Lucking Trucking contract.
Mr. Blocher reported the building on the Paris square is unfit. Mr. Stewart will ask attorney about several abandoned buildings in Paris Township.
Meeting with Stark County Engineer’s Office
Mr. Kiko & Mr. Stewart attended the annual meeting with the Trustees and the county engineer. They discussed bridges to be replaced and county will no longer clean out drainage ditches. Trustees are to ask engineer to survey Stucky St. and ask for ideas to improve road.
SCJFD Levy Meeting at Township Garage
There will be a township meeting concerning the SCJFD levy on April 15, 2019 at 6:00pm at the township garage for any residents wanting more information about the levy. Fire Chief Stoller will be there to answer any questions concerning the levy.
No further business, Mr. Kiko made a motion, seconded by Mr. Blocher to adjourn and pay bills totally $25,662.36. Approved.
