President Michael Stewart called the meeting to order at 7:00PM at the township hall with Trustees James Kiko & Reginald Stoltzfus present.
Approval of Minutes
Mr. Kiko moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the last meeting & approve as submitted. Seconded by Mr. Stoltzfus. Approved. Financial reports approved as printed.
Road Report
A ditch on Whitacre Ave. needs cleaned out. There was a tree down on Fox Ave. The road crew bermed Parks & Stucky St. Chip & sealing to start August 8th. Trustees discussed a culvert on Freed St.
Budget Meeting
Fiscal Officer Rudy Evanich said the annual budget meeting will be August 15th at 7:00pm at the Township garage.
Market St. Expenses
Mr. Kiko reported that the Market St. expenses from the Stark County Engineer amounted to $18,023.38.
Liberty Church St.
Mr. Stewart said he talk to Brown Township Trustees concerning an agreement with Brown Township about the maintenance of Liberty Church St. which borders both townships. Mr. Stewart said Paris Township will maintain .9 miles from Paris Ave. east. Brown Township will maintain from there to Minerva.
Fire Equipment
Trustees decided to ask the Sandy Creek Joint Fire District to try and man the Robertsville Fire Station in the future.
Paving Company
Mr. Stoltzfus warned residents of a black truck trying to sell blacktop for resident’s driveways.
Culvert Policy
Mr. Stoltzfus said he will work on a culvert policy for the township.
Pipeline
Mr. Stoltzfus reported that the Nexus Pipeline may runs through Paris Township.
Executive Session
Mr. Kiko made a motion, seconded by Mr. Stoltzfus, to go into executive session to discuss hiring of personnel at 8:36pm. Upon a vote, Mr. Stoltzfus – Aye, Mr. Stewart – Aye. Mr. Kiko – Aye. Approved.
Mr. Kiko made a motion, seconded by Mr. Stoltzfus, to come out of executive session at 9:04pm. Upon a vote, Mr. Stoltzfus – Aye, Mr. Stewart – Aye. Mr. Kiko – Aye. Approved.
No further business, Mr. Kiko made a motion, seconded by Mr. Stoltzfus to adjourn and pay bills totally $42,575.12. Approved. Meeting adjourned.
