President Reginald Stoltzfus called the meeting to order at 7:00PM at the township hall with Trustees Michael Stewart & James Kiko present.
Approval of Minutes
Mr. Stewart moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the last meeting & approve as submitted. Seconded by Mr. Kiko. Approved. Financial reports approved as printed.
Fire Chief Stoller reported that the approach for some dry hydrants needs more stone installed. Trustees will have the issue resolved. He also said the radio tower on Walker Ave. is complete.
Mr. Kirkpatrick reported chip & sealing is completed. He will replace a culvert on Crowl St. Mike’s tree trimming is almost finished. The culvert on Bonnieview St. is fixed. Calway is being worked on to complete right-a-way. Mr. Stoltzfus reported the owner of pine trees on Warren Road wants trees after they are dropped.
Propane Pricing – Resolution 40-18
Mr. Kiko moved to approve locking in the price of propane at $1.59 through March 31, 2019 with Powers Propane. Seconded by Mr. Stewart. Upon a vote, Mr. Stoltzfus – Aye, Mr. Kiko – Aye, Mr. Stewart – Aye. Approved.
Street Lighting Assessment – Resolution 41-18
Mr. Kiko moved to approve the following street light assessments. Paris – $44.00, New Franklin – $24.00, Robertsville – $5.00 per year. Seconded by Mr. Stewart. Upon a vote, Mr. Stoltzfus – Aye, Mr. Kiko – Aye, Mr. Stewart – Aye. Approved.
Mr. Kiko reported writing a letter to the county auditor for a resident that has no road frontage in Paris Township stating that fact.
Mr. Kiko talked to the owner of the lumber truck and was assured there will be no more problems on the alley.
New Franklin Pavilion
Mr. Kiko and Mr. Stewart will try to make contact with the people in charge of the New Franklin Community Park concerning the pavilion on the square.
No further business, Mr. Kiko made a motion, seconded by Mr. Stewart to adjourn and pay bills totally $32,384.10. Approved.
