President Reginald Stoltzfus called the meeting to order at 7:00PM at the township hall with Trustees James Kiko and Michael Stewart present.
Approval of Minutes
Mr. Kiko moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the last meeting & approve as submitted. Seconded by Mr. Stewart. Approved. Financial reports approved as printed.
Stark County Health Dept.
Todd Paulus from the health department gave an update on rabies in the county. There were four known cases in Paris Township. There will be another bait drop this fall. The health department can test water wells for residents and money is available for new septic systems.
Road Superintendent Todd Kirkpatrick reported that culvert replacement continues. The bridge on Liberty Church is being replaced now. He said that three grave stones were knocked over at Liberty Cemetery. New tires were put on the New Holland tractor.
Mr. Kiko reported that the offer for Liberty Cemetery addition was sent to land owner.
New Tractor and Mower
Mr. Kiko said the new tractor and mower will be delivered by mid-October. Mr. Stoltzfus said the bond for the USDA Grant for the tractor & mower will cost $925.00.
Insurance Buy-In Resolution 46-17
Mr. Kiko made a motion, seconded by Mr. Stewart to approve the buy-in for health insurance at a cost of $28,576.98. Upon a vote, Mr. Stoltzfus – Aye, Mr. Kiko – Aye, Mr. Stewart – Aye. Approved.
No further business, Mr. Kiko made a motion, seconded by Mr. Stewart to adjourn and pay bills totally $68,459.24. Approved. Meeting adjourned.
