Minutes of Paris Township Trustees

February 1, 2016

President Michael Stewart called the meeting to order at 7:00PM at the township hall with Trustees James Kiko & Reginald Stoltzfus present.

Approval of Minutes
Mr. Kiko moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the last meeting & approve as submitted. Seconded by Mr. Stoltzfus. Approved. Financial reports approved as printed.

Robertsville Issues
Mickel Wright informed trustees that Robertsville Fire Department did have CDs at PNC Bank at one time. Mr. Kiko said he will look into the matter. Mr. Wright also said a car being parked on an alley is blocking the view of State Route 30 at a stop sign, dogs are running loose & the old hardware building is falling apart. Mr. Stewart said he will see what can be done.

Mileage Certification Resolution 14-16
Mr. Kiko made a motion, seconded by Mr. Stoltzfus, to approve the mileage certification at 52.06 miles of township road. Upon a vote, Mr. Kiko – Aye, Mr. Stoltzfus – Aye, Mr. Stewart – Aye. Approved.

Real Estate Taxes
Fiscal Officer Evanich presented various real estate parcels to the trustees for their review concerning the taxes from the county auditor.

Cleanup Day
The Paris Township cleanup day will be April 16, 2016 Mr. Stoltzfus reported.

Law Seminars
Mr. Stewart & Mr. Stoltzfus will attend a seminar by the Stark County Government Law Seminar in Canton.

Parks Ave Grant
Mr. Stewart said the grant has been approved for the resurfacing of Parks Ave. This is a joint grant with Osnaburg & Nimishillen Townships.

Robertsville Fire Department
Mr. Kiko reported that he has received the titles to the fire trucks and deeds for the real estate of the fire department along with $17,111.86. He will contact the Stark County Board of Elections concerning the fire station as a polling location for the upcoming election.

Road Report
Mr. Stowe reported that the road crew has been patching & cutting back along roads.

S.R. 183 Wrecks
Mr. Stoltzfus will call ODOT concerning the numerous wrecks on S.R. 183 just north of Minerva.

No further business, Mr. Kiko made a motion, seconded by Mr. Stoltzfus to adjourn and pay bills totally $31,550.21. Approved. Meeting adjourned.
