President James Kiko called the meeting to order at 7:00PM at the township hall with Trustees James Glavan & Michael Stewart present.
Approval of Minutes
Mr. Stewart moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the last meeting & approve as submitted. Seconded by Mr. Glavan. Approved. Financial reports approved as printed.
Road Superintendent Todd Kirkpatrick reported that “SLOW” road signs are being installed soon. He said roads are in good shape. Patching continues. Brandywine needs a new culvert installed.
Fire Chief Stoller discussed the last meeting the fire district had concerning the levy renewal. The new levy money would only be used for EMS services.
SCJFD Levy Support Resolution 15-20 Mr. Stewart made a motion, seconded by Mr. Glavan to support the SCJFD levy to be voted on in March. Upon a vote, Mr. Stewart – Aye, Mr. Kiko – Aye, Mr. Glavan – Aye. Approved.
Minerva Chamber of Commerce Meeting
Mr. Kiko will talk about the Paris Township road levy at the chamber meeting in February. He will also write a letter to the editor concerning the road levy.
Mr. Stewart said raccoons tested for rabies from Paris Township tested negative.
Census – Boundaries
Mr. Stewart reported that the boundaries for Paris Township are correct for the 2020 Census.
No further business, Mr. Stewart made a motion, seconded by Mr. Glavan to adjourn and pay bills of $33,386.19. Approved.
