Minutes of Paris Township Trustees

March 18, 2019

President James Kiko called the meeting to order at 7:00PM at the
township hall with Trustee Michael Stewart present.

Approval of Minutes
Mr. Stewart moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes of
the last meeting & approve as submitted. Seconded by Mr. Kiko.
Approved. Financial reports approved as printed.

Telpahak St. Property
Mr. Lucas asked that someone contact the Stark County Health
Department concerning the property on Telpahak St. Mr. Stewart
said he will make the phone call. Mr. Kiko said that Mr. Blocher
is working on other nuisance properties in the township.

New Franklin & Paris Alleys
Mr. Rick Jedel asked about the vacating of alleys. Mr. Kiko said
nothing is being done at this time.

Road Report
Road Superintendent Todd Kirkpatrick reported beavers are damming
up a drainage ditch just west of S.R. 30 near Baywood Street. Mr.
Kiko will contact the Stark County Engineer’s Office concerning the
matter. Patching continues, ditch is cleaned out along Cindell St.
The 2010 one-ton truck needs repairs costing $1,800.00. There were
two burials during the prior two weeks.

Meeting Attended
Mr. Kiko reported that he and Mr. Blocher attended the Stark County
Health Department meeting.

Paris Township Clean Up Day
Mr. Kiko said the township cleanup day will be April 27, 2019.

Refuse Contract
Mr. Stewart said he forwarded the Lucky Trucking contract to Mr.
Babik for review.

Indigent Burial
Mr. Stewart said the township needs a policy for indigent burials
in Paris Township.

Meeting with Stark County Engineer’s Office
Mr. Kiko reported the annual meeting with the Trustees and the
county engineer will be March 21, 2019 at 5:30.

Sandy Creek Joint Fire District Levy Resolution 21-19
Mr. Kiko made a motion, seconded by Mr. Stewart, to support the
Sandy Creek Joint Fire District Levy on the May 7, 2019 ballot.
Upon a vote, Mr. Stewart – Aye. Mr. Kiko – Aye. Motion Approved.

SCJFD Levy Meeting at Township Garage
There will be a township meeting concerning the SCJFD levy on April
15, 2019 at 6:00pm at the township garage for any residents wanting
more information about the levy. Fire Chief Stoller will be there
to answer any questions concerning the levy.

No further business, Mr. Stewart made a motion, seconded by Mr.
Kiko to adjourn and pay bills totally $8,110.97. Approved.
