President James Kiko called the meeting to order at 7:00PM at the township hall with Trustees James Glavan & Michael Stewart present.
Approval of Minutes
Mr. Stewart moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the last meeting & approve as submitted. Seconded by Mr. Glavan. Approved. Financial reports approved as printed.
First Energy – Troy Rhoades
Mr. Rhoades said he is the township outreach representative. He can help teach volunteer firefighters concerning electric. He will email press releases to township officials.
Road Report
Road Superintendent Todd Kirkpatrick reported patching and gritting roads. He needs to purchase four more loads of salt to complete the township salt agreement. Planning on buy culverts at Marlboro Supply’s sale on March 13. Will be replacing a culvert on Gordon St. Looked at International Dump Trucks at Plain Township. He is to meet with International salesperson soon.
Cemetery Mower
Mr. Stewart and Mr. Kirkpatrick met with a contractor for mowing the township cemeteries. A decision will be made at the next meeting.
Nuisance Properties
Mr. Kiko reported the health department would allow township to clean up properties and place the cost of cleanup on the property tax bill.
Stark Parks Meeting
Mr. Stewart will attend Stark Parks meeting on March 5.
No further business, Mr. Stewart made a motion, seconded by Mr. Glavan to adjourn and pay bills of $28,575.41. Approved.
