President Reginald Stoltzfus called the meeting to order at 7:00PM at the township hall with Trustees James Kiko & Michael Stewart present.
Approval of Minutes
Mr. Kiko moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the last meeting & approve as submitted. Seconded by Mr. Stewart. Approved. Financial reports approved as printed.
Alex Czayka from the Western Reserve Land Conservation asked on behalf of Scott & Sharon Keister that the Paris Township Board of Trustees support the State of Ohio purchasing an agricultural easement on a portion of their farm.
Agricultural Easement Resolution 24-17
Mr. Kiko made a motion, seconded by Mr. Stewart to approve the application of Scott & Sharon Keister’s land for Ohio’s Local Agricultural Easement Purchase Program. Upon a vote, Mr. Stewart – Aye, Mr. Kiko – Aye, Mr. Stoltzfus – Aye. Approved.
Road Superintendent Todd Kirkpatrick reported purchasing culverts that were on sale. He also purchased road supplies. Trees are being cut back on Baywood St.
Record Retention Schedule
Mr. Stewart reported the new record retention schedule takes 135 total days for approval.
Mr. Kiko reported that land needed for Liberty Cemetery has been surveyed and is 2.933 acres. Stephan Babik from the prosecutor’s office will handle the sale of land.
Mr. Stoltzfus said the grants from the solid waste district do not include yard waste removal.
Mr. Stewart said the USDA reported a raccoon with rabies in the township. The USDA will be testing wild animals for rabies.
Fire Truck Sale
Mr. Kiko reported ads will run in several papers for sealed bids for two fire truck.
Paris Community Memorial Day Parade Resolution 25-17
Mr. Kiko made a motion, seconded by Mr. Stewart to approve the payment of $100.00 for Paris Memorial Day Parade. Upon a vote, Mr. Stewart – Aye, Mr. Kiko – Aye, Mr. Stoltzfus – Aye. Approved.
No further business, Mr. Kiko made a motion, seconded by Mr. Stewart to adjourn and pay bills totally $20,162.27. Approved. Meeting adjourned.
