President Michael Stewart called the meeting to order at 7:00PM at the township hall with Trustee Reginald Stoltzfus present.
Approval of Minutes
Mr. Stoltzfus moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the last meeting & approve as submitted. Seconded by Mr. Stewart. Approved. Financial reports approved as printed.
Opening & Closing Graves
Mr. Fitzsimmons presented that he can open & close graves at the cost of $350.00 per grave. Cremations are $150.00.
Open & closing graves Resolution 18-16
Mr. Stoltzfus made a motion, seconded by Mr. Stewart, to approve the hiring of Dale Fitzsimmons to open & close graves at a cost of $350.00 & cremations at $150.00. Upon a vote, Mr. Stoltzfus – Aye, Mr. Stewart – Aye. Approved.
Mr. Stowe presented the last three weeks superintendent planning reports for the trustees to review. Mr. Stowe wants to resurface Pleasant Valley, Warren, Crowl, Whitacre, Tunnel Hill, & Terramont. He would also like to repave Freed St. from Fox to SR 183.
Mr. Stoltzfus reported that Paris Township can include the Village of Minerva in the sign grant.
Sign Grant Resolution 19-16
Mr. Stewart made a motion, seconded by Mr. Stoltzfus, to approve a contract with Minerva to include the Paris Township part of the village in the sign grant. Upon a vote, Mr. Stoltzfus – Aye, Mr. Stewart – Aye. Approved.
Mr. Stewart reported he attended a Records Retention & Sunshine Law meeting Feb. 24.
Sign Grant Resolution 20-16
Mr. Stoltzfus made a motion, seconded by Mr. Stewart, to start a Records Retention Policy. Upon a vote, Mr. Stoltzfus – Aye, Mr. Stewart – Aye. Approved.
Health Dept. Meeting
Mr. Stewart said he attended the Stark County Health Dept. meeting. He said there is $300,000.00 available for low income residents for septic upgrades.
No further business, Mr. Stoltzfus made a motion, seconded by Mr. Stewart to adjourn and pay bills totally $35,200.31. Approved. Meeting adjourned.
