Minutes of Paris Township Trustees

May 18, 2020

President James Kiko called the meeting to order at 7:00PM at the township hall with Trustees Michael Stewart & James Glavan present.

Approval of Minutes

Mr. Stewart moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the last meeting & approve as submitted.  Seconded by Mr. Glavan.  Approved.  Financial reports approved as printed.

Lucky Trucking LLC

JT Williams & Scott Haynam, owners of Lucky Trucking, have purchased new roll-off boxes for the township refuse site.  They are concerned about the possible damage to the new boxes.  The meeting moved to the refuse site to discuss what can be done for protecting to new boxes & the safety of the residents.

Cemetery on Telpahak St

Don Gram asked about mowing of the cemetery on Telpahak St.  Mr. Kirkpatrick said the township would mow that cemetery.

Road Report

Road Superintendent Todd Kirkpatrick reported one burials.  Foundations are to be installed next week in the cemeteries.  The small building at Liberty Cemetery will be removed also.  Warren Road has been bermed.

Abandoned Building

Mr. Stewart reported contacting the health department concerning the abandoned building just west on Minerva on S.R. 30.  The health department said there is nothing they can do & the taxes are up to date.  Mr. Kiko reported a representative from the health department will attend the next meeting to discuss nuisance properties in the township.

No further business, Mr. Stewart made a motion, seconded by Mr. Glavan to adjourn and pay bills of $10,560.93.  Approved.
