President Reginald Stoltzfus called the meeting to order at 7:00PM at the township hall with Trustees James Kiko & Michael Stewart present.
Approval of Minutes
Mr. Kiko moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the last meeting & approve as submitted. Seconded by Mr. Stewart. Approved. Financial reports approved as printed.
Paris Ave. culvert
Mr. Stoltzfus said that Joel Snyder was not told that replacing a culvert for a farm lane would be charge to him. The culvert was changed because of the township cleaning out ditches along Paris Ave. All trustees agreed not to charge Mr. Snyder for the replaced culvert.
Road Superintendent Todd Kirkpatrick reported that berming & ditching roads continues. He has asked the county engineer to mark the township boundaries for roads. Paris Ave. will be ditched more in the spring to stop field flooding. He is getting more quotes for tree cutting along roads. Mr. Kiko reported that the new tractor & mower will arrive on November 29th. Mr. Stoltzfus was assured by Mr. Kirkpatrick that all road signs from the grant are installed. Mr. Kiko provided slag prices for extending Calway Ave. to Mr. Kirkpatrick.
Various township business
Mr. Stewart reported that the survey for the Robertsville dry hydrant should be completed by the end of November. Mr. Kiko said the cemetery purchase should be closed soon. Stark County will not be fixing Liberty Church St. after the bridge is replaced. The drainage issue in New Franklin will be repaired this week. Mr. Stoltzfus reported that there will be a speaker at the December 4, 2017 meeting concerning the Sunshine Law.
Mr. Stoltzfus and Mr. Evanich met with Independent Energy Consultants on November 16 at 4:00pm at garage. Contracts were signed for IEC to represent Paris Township for electric aggregation.
No further business, Mr. Kiko made a motion, seconded by Mr. Stewart to adjourn and pay bills totally $13,205.39. Approved.
