President Michael Stewart called the meeting to order at 7:00PM at the township hall with Trustees James Kiko & Reginald Stoltzfus present.
Approval of Minutes
Mr. Kiko moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the last meeting & approve as submitted. Seconded by Mr. Stoltzfus. Approved. Financial reports approved as printed.
Cemetery Mower
Don Gram reported that the Woods mower has a clutch that is slipping. A new Woods mower after trade would cost $6,300.00. Mr. Kiko said the trustees will revisit the issue in the spring.
Road Report
Mike Bondoni reported laying asphalt on Baird Ave. & Whitacre Ave. Vegetation has been trimmed back at numerous locations. Mowing along roads continues. Storm debris cleanup was completed. Repaired culverts on Whitacre Ave. Truck number three has been repaired. Parks Ave. has been chip & sealed. Liberty Cemetery has been chip & sealed. Mr. Bondoni asked to purchase a laser level costing $600.00. Trustees said yes.
New Franklin Alley
Mr. Stoltzfus reported attending the commissioners meeting concerning the vacating of an alley in New Franklin. The commissioners approved the vacating of the alley.
Township Piping & Ditching Guidelines
Piping & Ditching Guidelines – Resolution 42-16
Mr. Stoltzfus moved to approve the Piping & Ditching Guidelines as presented. Seconded by Mr. Kiko. Upon A vote, Mr. Stewart – Aye, Mr. Stoltzfus – Aye, Mr. Kiko – aye. Approved.
The guidelines will be available to read on the township website.
Liberty Cemetery
Mr. Kiko will discuss purchasing more land for Liberty Cemetery will Mr. Babik from the prosecutor’s office.
Other Township business
Mr. Stewart said he filed a report with the health department concerning the semi parked on Telpahak St. He is also working on the record retention schedule with the prosecutor’s office. Crimewatch has raised money for sheriff’s patrols in the township.
No further business, Mr. Kiko made a motion, seconded by Mr. Stoltzfus to adjourn and pay bills totally $13,011.15. Approved. Meeting adjourned.
