President James Kiko called the meeting to order at 6:00PM at the township hall with Trustees Timothy Blocher & Michael Stewart present.
Approval of Minutes
Mr. Kiko moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the last meeting & approve as submitted. Seconded by Mr. Blocher. Approved. Financial reports approved as printed.
Fire Chief Stoller gave a presentation on the need for a new 3 mill levy.
Mrs. Laurie Peach ask where to take tree limbs and brush. Mr. Kiko said the nearest location is Nimishillon Township.
Telpahak Nuisance Property
Mr. Blocher reported he contacted the Stark County Health Department concerning the property on Telpahak St.
Road Superintendent Todd Kirkpatrick reported emailing cemetery rules to the trustees to review for the next meeting. There will be a burial Wednesday & the cemeteries are cleaned up. Patching & ditching continues as well as replacing culverts. Removed downed trees from storm damage. The heavy rains and leaves have plugged culverts.
Lucking Trucking Contract
Mr. Stewart has the contact for Lucking Trucking to be voted on next meeting.
Mr. Stewart is working with Stark County Engineer for how to improve Stucky St.
Mr. Kiko is to meet with the Stark County Engineer on April 16th at 9:30 at Surrey Dr.
Mr. Stewart attended the SCOG meeting.
Mr. Blocher talk to the Stark County Health Department and nothing can be done unless building has burned.
Spring on Weimer
Mr. Kiko reported that Osnaburg Township will fix the issue with the spring on Weimer Dr.
Purchasing Backhoe Resolution 23-19
Mr. Kiko made a motion, seconded by Mr. Blocher to purchase a used backhoe for $35,000.00. Upon a vote, Mr. Stewart – Aye, Mr. Kiko – Aye, Mr. Blocher – Aye. Approved.
No further business, Mr. Stewart made a motion, seconded by Mr. Blocher to adjourn and pay bills totally $48,326.38. Approved.
