Minutes of Paris Township Trustees

December 19, 2016

President Michael Stewart called the meeting to order at 7:00PM at the township hall with Trustees James Kiko & Reginald Stoltzfus present.


Approval of Minutes

Mr. Stoltzfus moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the last meeting & approve as submitted.  Seconded by Mr. Kiko.  Approved.  Financial reports approved as printed.


Road Report

Road Superintendent Todd Kirkpatrick reported springs running on many roads after rain on the weekend.  Three roads were flooded, Baird, Wynngate, and Liberty Church.  Mr. Kirkpatrick said he is purchasing “High Water” signs for those areas in the future.  Mr. Kirkpatrick had Richard Rohn from the Stark County Soil & Water look into places where the water from lakes and ponds was approaching township roads as well as plugged culverts.  Trustees decided to hire North Canton Drain to clean out three culverts.  There was one funeral since the last meeting.  The road superintendent’s bond of $10,000.00 was received.


No Engine Brake Sign

Mr. Kiko reported sending resolution to ODOT concerning the no engine brake sign for SR 30.


Year-End Meeting

There will be a year-end meeting December 28th at 2:30pm. The reorganization meeting is set for January 9th at 6:00pm at the township garage.


Various township items

Mr. Stoltzfus reported that he has called the resident on Telpahak concerning a culvert and is waiting to have his call returned.  He also gave employee evaluation forms to Mr. Kirkpatrick to have filled out by employees.  Mr. Stewart said the property on Telpahak is being cleaned up.


No further business, Mr. Stoltzfus made a motion, seconded by Mr. Stewart to adjourn and pay bills totally $9,922.17.  Approved.  Meeting adjourned.
