President Michael Stewart called the meeting to order at 7:00PM at the township hall with Trustees James Kiko & Reginald Stoltzfus present.
Approval of Minutes
Mr. Kiko moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the last meeting & approve as submitted. Seconded by Mr. Stoltzfus. Approved. Financial reports approved as printed.
Robertsville School Property
Mr. Don Gram asked about the township mowing the Robertsville school property. Mr. Kiko is to ask the prosecutor’s office concerning renting the field for hay.
Mr. Stowe presented the last two weeks superintendent planning reports for the trustees to review. Mr. Stowe is to replace the weed eaters for the cemetery. He said shingles were dumped along a township road. The road crew has been ditching & cleaning out culverts. Mr. Stoltzfus said stop signs are needed in allotments. Mr. Kiko said only one employee is needed to purchase asphalt for patching. Mr. Stewart said cemetery roads need chip & sealed and road signs are needed at Ellenwood & Tunnel Hill. Bids are being advertised for road materials, chip & sealing, paving & the Market St. bridge project.

Mr. Kiko made a motion, seconded by Mr. Stoltzfus, to approve the bidding of the bridge replacement on Market St. Upon a vote, Mr. Stoltzfus – Aye, Mr. Stewart – Aye. Mr. Kiko – Aye. Approved.

Open & closing graves Resolution 22-16
Mr. Stewart made a motion, seconded by Mr. Stoltzfus, to approve the hiring of Dale Fitzsimmons to open & close graves at a cost of $350.00 & cremations at $150.00. Upon a vote, Mr. Stoltzfus – Aye, Mr. Stewart – Aye, Mr. Kiko – Aye. Approved.
Mr. Stoltzfus reported that he is filling out the sign grant for Paris Township.
Mr. Stewart reported he contacted John Ronion of the prosecutor’s office concerning the Records Retention & Sunshine Law that the township is working to adopt.
New Dump Truck Bed
Mr. Stowe is to get prices to replace the bed on the 1999 dump truck.
Memorial Day Parade Resolution 23-16
Mr. Kiko made a motion, seconded by Mr. Stoltzfus, to approve the donation to the Paris Memorial & Community Association in the amount of $100.00 for cost of Memorial Day Parade. Upon a vote, Mr. Stoltzfus – Aye, Mr. Stewart – Aye, Mr. Kiko – Aye. Approved.
Mowing Resolution 24-16
Mr. Stoltzfus made a motion, seconded by Mr. Kiko, to approve the mowing at the Paris Community Pavilion by the township. Upon a vote, Mr. Stoltzfus – Aye, Mr. Stewart – Aye, Mr. Kiko – Aye. Approved.
Yard Waste Box
Mr. Stoltzfus is checking on cost for the township to have their own yard waste box for residents.
No further business, Mr. Kiko made a motion, seconded by Mr. Stoltzfus to adjourn and pay bills totally $20,132.28. Approved. Meeting adjourned.
